Centered on your vision and circumstances, our work focuses on learning and building the emotional and physical tools that work for your individual, mind, body and heart—in preparation for your unique birthing experience.
This often includes:
creating opportunities for mindfulness and self-reflection (to cultivate clarity about your values around birth; and to gain skills to ground and calm the nervous system for labor)
accessible and thorough education on the physiological and anatomical processes of labor
practicing positions and movements that support your baby(ies) moving through your pelvis
tailoring movement practices specific to your body to help prepare for (any mode of) birth and beyond
performing and/or teaching you how to perform perineal preparation to help your tissues learn that it’s safe to stretch during birth
exploring philosophies and resources, and building a support team that resonates with you
planning for immediate postpartum, including gentle exercises and movement recommendations
These sessions are meant to for individuals preparing for any mode of birth. The aim is to support you in gathering the emotional and physical tools, and knowledge about birth and birth options, to approach your birth with informed confidence and present joy.
