Prenatal Physical Therapy + Wellness
Wellness visits for pregnancy are about proactively laying the foundation for a strong and comfortable pregnancy, with the simultaneous benefit of preparing for birth and postpartum healing. These visits are appropriate both prior to conception and during pregnancy.
Prenatal physical therapy addresses any discomfort(s), limitation(s), or symptom(s) you’re experiencing. Our goal in therapy is to holistically address the root of the dysfunction, in order to resolve it for the long-run, and get you back to moving, living, and doing what you love with ease.

preparing your mind and body for (any mode of) birth
setting a strong foundation for postpartum healing
learning ways to exercise safely throughout your evolving pregnancy, tailored to your individual body
preventing +/or addressing discomforts often experienced during pregnancy, which might include:
low back, hip, knee or foot discomfort
pelvic girdle pain, including at the pubic symphysis and sacroiliac joints
wrist pain, including carpal tunnel syndrome and De Quervain’s tenosynovitis
pelvic health concerns, including leaking/incontinence, vaginal heaviness or pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and diastasis recti
understanding and adapting your physical activity to OB/midwife recommendations
addressing another new or recurring pain or dysfunction
any other mind-body concerns, which we can also approach as a team with other providers
Prenatal Visits are offered both virtually (telehealth) and in-person, in our office in Santa Barbara, CA or via outdoor/open-air home visits.
