Pelvic Health
Physical Therapy

Our pelvises and abdomens are at the center of our physical bodies. When their health is not going well, they often reside at the center of our mental and emotional lives. In pelvic health PT, we collaborate to address the concerns that are occupying space in your body and life.

Pelvic health concerns you might be experiencing:

  • wellness, prevention or pain during pregnancy

  • postpartum rehabilitation

  • return to desired activities following any pelvic health concern

  • stress incontinence (urine +/or fecal)

  • urge incontinence (urine +/or fecal)

  • sense of pelvic heaviness or tissue bulging, or a diagnosis of pelvic organ prolapse

  • diastasis recti/abdominal separation

  • pain with sex or sexual touch

  • preparation or recovery from a gender-affirming surgery

  • bladder pain or a diagnosis of interstitial cystitis

  • pain at your pubic symphysis/center of your pubic bone

  • discomfort or lack of stability at your SI joint or low back

  • tailbone discomfort

Abdominal health concerns you might be experiencing:

  • separation of abdominal muscles/diastasis recti

  • recovery from an abdominal or pelvic surgery

  • GI distress which is interfering with your ability to move + perform your activities of daily living

  • frequent constipation

  • myofascial restrictions in your abdominal tissues

Pelvic Health Visits are offered both virtually and in-person.

* Depending on your concern(s), internal examination and treatment may serve as a useful piece of pelvic health physical therapy; however, it is never required and ultimately always up to you as the patient. We collaborate as a team, and your comfort and consent are foundational to every aspect of our appointments.
